Women-led Conservation: Protecting the World’s Savannahs

Small Room

The Nature Conservancy is championing the empowerment of women in savannah and grassland conservation by bringing together regional leaders from Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Africa, and Mongolia. This assembly aims to enhance conservation initiatives across these diverse landscapes.

This event will highlight the vital role of women in savannah conservation for biodiversity and climate change. It will bring together a diverse panel of women leaders, including producers, scientists, and indigenous representatives from Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Africa (TBC), Mongolia (TBC), and Oklahoma (TBC) to exchange experiences and discuss their contributions to preserving savannah ecosystems. The focus will be on fostering collaboration and sharing insights among these diverse groups of female conservationists, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary and cross-regional approaches in achieving lasting conservation outcomes.
