Transformational Initiatives Delivering the GBF Nature Positive Mission

Big Room

Showcasing how different stakeholder groups are implementing innovative approaches to deliver the nature-positive mission, discussion on the key challenges that remain and how collaboration between diverse actors can overcome them. An interactive session led by BirdLife International.

Widespread government, finance and business nature-positive commitments urgently need to translate into demonstrable, transformative action across actors and scales to collectively deliver the GBF mission. BirdLife International will highlight key nature-positive principles, showcase relevant initiatives from governments (e.g. Australia’s Global Nature Positive Summit), finance (e.g. ADB/CAF’s flyway initiatives), business (e.g. WEF/WBCSD/BfN’s sector actions towards nature positive) and civil society/IPLCs (e.g. Conserva Aves/30×30), in a facilitated, goal-oriented, fishbowl format discussion with a diverse range of actors around progress, challenges, needs and opportunities to ensure action and finance at the scale and pace needed to halt and reverse biodiversity loss by 2030.
