ARPA Communities is a new effort that will expand the scope of the Amazon Protected Areas Program (ARPA), the world’s largest initiative for the conservation of tropical forests. ARPA Communities will support community development and sustainable use of natural resources in protected areas that encompass 23.7 M ha of ARPA. This event offers a high-level platform for the Brazilian Government and committed partners, including community leaders, to come together for a discussion about ARPA Communities’ ambition, and how it will help Brazil deliver on its climate, biodiversity, and sustainable development goals.
