SPECIAL EVENT: Evening Reception – Delivering improvements to ecosystem integrity and condition through nature positive development and private sector engagement

Big Room

Co-hosted by WCS and the Ecosystem Condition Protocol interim secretariat, the event will provide an overview of initiatives, tools, and metrics, fostering collaboration to align scientific measures with private sector strategies and connecting to the NPI's work around a minimum viable set of metrics for nature.

Ecosystem integrity/condition is vital for achieving GBF Goal A and targets. However, challenges in measuring and reporting persist, particularly for private sector impacts. This event will unite key stakeholders to build consensus on monitoring ecosystem integrity/condition ahead of CBD COP17, enhancing national reporting and private sector contributions to a Nature Positive world. Co-hosted by WCS and the Ecosystem Condition Protocol interim secretariat, the event will provide an overview of initiatives (including TNFD, SBTN, GRI, EFRAG), tools, and metrics, fostering collaboration to align scientific measures with private sector strategies and connecting to the NPI’s work around a minimum viable set of metrics for nature.
