30×30 in North America: National, Subnational, and Indigenous Efforts to Achieve 30×30 in Canada, the United States, and Mexico

Big Room

A panel discussion led by Campaign For Nature.

Since the world agreed to the target to protect or conserve at least 30 percent of the planet’s land and ocean by 2030, North America has emerged as one of the early success stories at the continental level. This event will hear from national, subnational, and Indigenous leaders across North America working to deliver concrete outcomes towards achieving 30×30. Together, these efforts provide examples of how to address some of the most critical aspects of 30×30 implementation, including how to support Indigenous leadership and governance, how to increase funding for implementation, and how to dramatically increase the pace of marine and terrestrial conservation in the right places.
