Putting people and education (back) in NBSAPs!

WWF presents a recent review of NBSAPs, which revealed something is missing. A lack of defined plans to include education and involve key groups in implementation. Let’s put them both back in - join us to hear how!
Based on a desk review of 14 NBSAPs (July), researchers found that while several emphasized the importance of improving public awareness, only a handful included well-defined plans to actually include and improve education and involve youth and other key target groups through meaningful participation. In this session we will highlight “good examples” (from the “best of”); examine the role of CSOs, youth groups, and institutions; and provide several key recommendations for how parties can build “the people” back into their action plans and ensure a “whole of society” approach.
