Countries can transform their infrastructure for a thriving future into a driver of biodiversity gains – not degradation – through coordinated action across the KMGBF targets. This exciting session will explore biodiversity mainstreaming successes and challenges in this highly complex and impactful sector. Participants will explore innovations with practitioners from around the world working on biodiversity-positive infrastructure planning, inclusion, policy, finance, and design to safeguard protected areas, communities, habitats, and connectivity. Discussions will generate participant recommendations on how the conservation community can help countries secure their natural infrastructure and generate a new era in inclusive, nature-positive, and zero-carbon infrastructure development.
