In partnership with the Gabon Biodiversity Team, we are preparing to demonstrate the significant advancements achieved in the realm of environmental stewardship, positioning Gabon as a vanguard in the domain of Conservation Finance. Our presentation will detail how Gabon has embraced innovative financial mechanisms to fund and sustain biodiversity conservation projects, ensuring the protection of its unique ecosystems. Additionally, we will highlight Gabon’s pivotal role in the inclusion of freshwater conservation within the ambitious global 30×30 initiative, which aims to safeguard 30% of the planet’s land and sea by 2030. Through strategic planning and execution, Gabon has made commendable progress in freshwater ecosystem conservation, setting a precedent for other nations to follow. This presentation will not only reflect on the successes but also set the stage for future endeavors in preserving the world’s precious natural resources.
