Conservation Initiative presents to spotlight thought leadership and implementation of human-centered conservation programming in efforts to rebuild the social and environmental fabric of societies which experienced conflict over natural resources and other root causes.
Hear first-hand from tested leaders and international figures about their recommendations for increasing conflict sensitivity in conservation as a fundamental step in sustainable biodiversity conservation. Hosted by CI and Peace Parks Foundation, this panel session will demonstrate key lessons from community-based initiatives. The session will also offer participants the opportunity to engage and learn about the challenges, opportunities and potential path forward for joint learning and advocacy for peace and nature in the CDB framework.
