Data availability is often cited as a major challenge for monitoring positive and negative impacts on nature. But while there is undoubtedly progress still to be made, we need to make effective use of the multitude of available sources already out there and in particular highly accessible sources. In this session, we will showcase the feasibility, affordability and applicability of tools currently available, as well as touching on the remaining challenges.
