Action on Nature, beyond Paper and Promises

Small Room

How can the Nature Action Tracker independently assess Government efforts, fact-check local implementation, and help us learn what works to scale and accelerate?

An interactive morning debate to review the ‘state of action’ on nature as a critical and shared concern for all of us: to compare views, ideas and insights to inform our respective roles and a common way forward:

How do we know and what really happens in terms of policy-driven follow up and action, beyond what’s in public statements and reports?

How do we prevent that yet another global biodiversity framework will fail because of the lack of practical implementation, of systematic tracking, political accountability and platforms for learning?

How can we complement existing tools that monitor, analyse and quantify ever-increasing amounts of data with a focused, independent and locally validated tracking of political, legal and financial public sector operationalization?

The debate will be framed by three provocative challenges, for discussion with experts discussants, before opening the debate to everyone present.
