Action on Nature, beyond Paper and Promises

Small Room

How can the Nature Action Tracker independently assess Government efforts, fact-check local implementation, and help us learn what works to scale and accelerate?

A lively interactive morning debate to equally challenge the expertise in the room, do a joint reality check, and generate valuable insights for the NAT team on the core of the ‘action agenda’: How do we know and confirm what really happens, beyond what’s in public statements and reports? How to prevent that, again, a global biodiversity framework will fail because of the lack to track and account for action and implementation? How can we complement our existing tools that monitor, analyse and quantify ever-increasing amounts of data with an independent contextual mapping of political, legal and financial action?

The debate will be framed by three provocative challenges, for discussion with experts discussants, before opening the debate to everyone present
